  • Overview

    The Talent Management Specialist will contribute to the hiring and engagement of a diverse workforce comprised of the best available talent for all positions. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of recruitment and hiring for assigned company and contribute to the company’s overall talent management initiatives.


    Essential Functions:

    • Directly source and engage candidates for open positions in assigned company and pipeline talent for future growth. Manage website postings and job ads and screen applicants. Search, screen, and disposition applicants in iCIMS applicant tracking system.
    • Serve as a point of contact and manage relationships with outside search firms. Review, negotiate, and sign search firm fee agreements.
    • Manage candidate selection process including screening and scheduling interviews, communication to candidates, initiating third-party reference checking and background screening, and writing and extending employment offers. Initiate company onboarding activities by communicating hires to internal IT, Marketing, Payroll, Safety, and Office Management.
    • Manage all aspects of college recruitment including career fair registration and job postings, scheduling and providing logistics and recruiting information to company participants, organizing career fair materials for each event, and tracking and managing applicant flow. Coordinate participation in other on-campus events such as resume feedback, networking nights, company presentations, and/or other social/networking events.
    • Manage applicant tracking system in accordance with OFCCP requirements, including ensuring all non-executive jobs are cross-posted to state unemployment boards, ensuring all candidates apply to job postings, and ensure all applicants are dispositioned for each job posting. Provide annual applicant flow report to the company’s Affirmative Action Plan consultant.
    • Understand, evaluate and report on the recruiting conditions in local markets, identify key opportunities and challenges. Identify, assess, and manage opportunities for new recruitment sources (ex. Veterans organizations, technical/vocational Schools, minority schools and associations, etc.).


    Other Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for recruitment marketing including company LinkedIn and Facebook postings, iCIMS Connect recruitment marketing tool, company Glassdoor account, and other methods to showcase company employment brand, engage passive candidates, and build talent pools for future openings.
    • Communicate pre-hire information to new hires about their first day. Check in with new employees during regular intervals during the first 90 days to ensure successful transition and onboarding, answer questions, develop relationships, and assist with any issues.
    • Develop relationships with employees to gauge employee morale and satisfaction, identify issues, and provide feedback to management. Develop relationships with managers to understand hiring and staff development needs, provide feedback, and stay current on organizational issues.
    • Assist with the implementation of training and development programs. Help management evaluate the effectiveness of the organization's talent strategies. Assist with developing and improving workplace practices to enhance company culture and employee growth and development.
    • Conduct or initiate third-party exit interviews, and report to management on exit feedback.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Marketing, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Five+ years’ recruiting experience including direct sourcing of candidates.
    • Ability to work independently, proactively taking ownership for all assigned responsibilities.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple deadlines, priorities, and constituencies.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging candidates and developing relationships and trust with employees.
    • Housekeeping duties related to job postings and managing applicant flow require strong detail orientation and follow-through.
    • Ability to work after-hours when necessary to connect with candidates.
    • Experienced with search techniques using LinkedIn Recruiter.
    • Ability to use or learn iCIMS applicant tracking and recruitment marketing tool.
    • Ability to use MicroSoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
